Russian kiosk manufacturer SIGMAPRO has installed 9 mobile charging stations at the Nizhny Novgorod. The stations were developed for JSC «Russian Railways» and placed in city main terminal. Each of the stations is equipped with interactive display and 5, 16, 28 or 50 cells with popular charging ports and 220 V power supply.
The purpose of the project is to provide free access to charging facilities for mobile phones, notebooks and other electronic devices. The stations operate also as information points, providing:
- railway and city transport schedules;
- information on municipal authorities (addresses, phone numbers, reception hours);
- news and weather forecast;
- list of city services;
- electronic menu of the restaurants located nearby;
- emergency alerts with evacuation scheme;
- events announcements;
- video materials;
- advertising content.
The kiosk information system includes the convenient CMS for online content editing and web server.
SIGMAPRO mobile charging stations become popular
At the same time the new modernised charging station was introduced in Zhiguli Valley Technopark. It was equipped with SIGMAMEDIA software for disabled people. The user interface was designed specifically for large interactive displays and adapted for persons with reduced mobility, visually and hearing impaired users.

The information system has 7 modes:
- magnifying mode for the visually impaired;
- Braille keyboard for visually impaired users;
- speech synthesis function for visually impaired people;
- contrast and monochrome for color blind people;
- text field moving down the monitor for people with reduced mobility;
- induction loop (“T” mode) for hearing impaired persons;
- multilanguage interface.
